# Transparency & Sponsors

We believe donors deserve absolute clarity on how their support is utilized. As an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we maintain an open ledger of expenses and make our compliance filings publicly available.

## Live Donation Ledger

We integrate directly with Stripe to display live totals and fees transparently on our home page. Our financial ledger tracks:

1. **Gross Donations**: Total funds received, including one-time and monthly support.
2. **Payment Processor Fees**: Calculated dynamically per transaction based on standard Stripe rates.
3. **Net Available Funds**: Gross donations minus transaction fees.
4. **Expense Ledger**: Every expenditure (server hosting, domain purchases, PC parts for workshops) is logged in our database and shown on the dashboard.
5. **Monthly Obligations**: Active running commitments (infrastructure, software subscriptions) needed to keep our platforms alive.
